For all of the young tennis players competing at the Easter Bowl, those who made it to the end faced their last day of challenges in the desert today. Of course the competition was fierce and so was the playing at the USTA event. And wow many are still surprised by the success of the U.S. team in the Davis Cup this year.
Friday the 13th, ooh what a lucky day for many individuals. Feliciano Lopez captured a win today and he along with John Isner will be the showdown at the Huston semifinals. Even the defending champ in Casablanca, Pablo Andujar, is still in the mix moving on to the semifinals after he defeated Sergio Gutierrez-Ferrol.
Tennis is picking up pace again with the Davis Cup Quarterfinals finished and only 5 days until the Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters. Building up to that we've got the Men's Clay Court Championship in Houston and the Grand Prix Hassan II in Casablanca, Morroco.
Twas the night before Easter and all of the juniors were sleeping, nestled snuggly in bed as they all anxiously awaited the Easter Bowl Championship ahead. This Sunday marks the 45th anniversary of the Easter Bowl USTA National Championship.

Many of the top women's players have been dropping out of their tournaments due to injuries while we still haven't seen any action from the likes of Djokovic or Nadal. That doesn't mean we don't have some great tennis going on like Del Potro's win over Tsonga at the Open 13!
