Wow, wow, wow Leander Paes won the Australian Open title for the firsr time in Saturday’s doubles final with partner Radek Stepanek. The doubles kings Bryan have been dethroned. And Murray, well he’s out for now but that doesn’t mean he won’t make a comeback in a later Grand Slam, he still has three more chances. After a five set match against Murray, Djokovic is sure to be pooped in his battle with Nadal.

Victoria Azarenka claimed her first slam title on Saturday and in a week is guaranteed the No.1 spot with all of her newly earned points. On friday evening Svetlana Kuznetsova and Vera Zvonavera became the first all-Russian team to win a Grand Slam doubles title. This years Australian Open guarantees we have a good season ahead of us with so many different outcomes already rising out of the first Grand Slam. Be ready because the final two men’s singles players Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic are set to clash and we still have the mixed doubles finals to watch featuring non other than the great Leander Paes and Elena Vesnina.
