Hello from New York City. It took awhile but finally arrived. This column has laid dormant. Sorry, that's what happens when one hangs with "Global Chick " We hit the ESPY awards, the Emmy awards and we got lost in the Hamptons, but we are here NOW!

The office here is gloomy. The day is sunny and bright but no one feels sunny and bright. We all feel so disappointed that our hero Roger didn't walk away with his gold trophy. He saved a championship point. He pulled out five sets. He had his beautiful Mirka there.. He had the whole dream team.

Venus lost today to what the tv commentators were calling the match of the week. The match of the tourney. The match that Venus had to win in two sets but didn't. Such an amazing quality of match. The level and intensity of a finals worthy of Wimbledon.
London. Wow. What a great city. One of my favs on earth. Grass court tennis. There is nothing finer. Queens was great. So was the Boodles @Stoke park , so was Birmingham and Eastbourne. But nothing on the planet can match the lawns of the mighty All England Lawn Tennis Club.
Clay court tennis. Do you like it ? Love it ? Hate it ? Can you slide ? Do you like balls that skid off the line ? Do you like the "DIRT " all over you ? How about when it goes down in your socks ?

We are in Paris. The weather stinks. But we are in Paris. We even had a rainbow over the Eiffel tower. And how cool is the huge tennis ball hanging from the tower ?
This week in Paris has been wild. It's spring but we've had rain and sun. We had traffic jams and mob scenes but they aren't for the players or the players party.
How funny when Bethanie Mattek -Sands is calling Caroline Wozniacki out for what color is your hair? Was it red was it pink? It didn't help Rory McIlroy much.We hear their wedding is planned to be in NYC in November. A hard invite.
Miami Sony Open. It was a match that could have gone either way. Andy Murray versus Novak Djokovic. They played each other since they were little kids. But what happened in Miami yesterday belonged back in those days.
Rafael Nadal was exiting the player’s restaurant when I almost got steamrolled by him today. He was rushing out to a practice court!
