NCAA Hurting College Tennis...?
It is unfortunate to hear about what the NCAA has done with deciding to revise college tennis. Coming into effect September of 2013, doubles will be a regular 6 game set and singles will have a 10 pt tiebreak in lieu of a third set. Here are just a couple of ways this is bad….1) There is now no reward for the hard work training off the court and in practice. 2) The platform of developing juniors into top level professionals will take a substantial hit. For coaches, it makes the job of trying to recruit an individual who is considering turning pro much harder with just the 10 pt tiebreak for a 3rd set. Those players will think it’s a joke….which it is.
Hopefully, there will be a way to make this stop before it happens. I encourage everyone who wants to voice out against what the NCAA is doing. What they are doing is hurting tennis all across the board.

The only way to describe this U.S. open is soaking wet without raining... It's really hard to play tennis when your socks are soaking wet and you are "sloshing" in your shoes. Your shoes get really heavy when they get wet.
