I'm Seeing Blue  |

Madrid 2012. BLUE CLAY. Only Tiriac would have the balls…. At first I saw it on a TV monitor. It looked weird. Now I’ve seen it in person. It still looks weird. Would I like it in pink? Purple? Hmn…
I need to decide. My mind feels like it’s playing games with me. Everyone here at 10sballs.com is talking about it. Tom Nash asked will the balls be red? Good question. For television what color will contrast the blue the best? Any thoughts readers? Blue grass? That’s next. We know it. With aegon loving that same Federer blue? What about blue shoes and socks. Blue screen. Green screen. Hollywood? No green room. Blue screen? Oh well.
The wildest/weirdest looking match yet (on tv monitor) was the blue court with both male players wearing all black including the socks (Jan-Michael Gambill look) … That match made tennis look futuristic to go with the stadium….
We mention the guys playing? We hear that in the tennis channel coverage of Madrid that they only show the guys? Go figure. WTA????
Watching Roger Federer lose the first set to Milos Raonic and saying how did that happen? 31 minutes and first set to Milos 6-4. It sure looked like they were headed to a breaker till Fed lost his service game at 4-4. Weird. It was as if he had a sloppy… (rookie /choke)  loss of focus …..  Sorry Rog but that’s all I can say it looked like.
Both guys look handsome and stylish. And it just got better. Robbie “Rob” Koenig just joined the commentating booth. Without a doubt the best in the booth award winner from 10sballs.com.
Ok. Back to the two guys on the blue court. I wonder what Roger would look like if he had on a blue shorts to go with his fed blue shirt. Blue socks. And blue shoes like he used to wear? This blue is odd. It’s still teasing my brain. Roger has on a white headband with a green Nike swoosh. And he is wearing a green right sweat wrist band. The shoes are wild. Look striped liked Adidas or k-swiss? But they are NIKE.
Milos. Great looking big kid. He was wearing the same electric greenish yellow Lacoste polo he wore in Miami. Indian wells. San Jose. It’s awesome. But Lacoste should have him wearing every color in their spring line… Go figure …
Tennis and it’s sponsors. Guys learn to capitalize and maximize your opportunities. TV feeds. Show the sponsors more. Zoom in on the giveaway hat. The patch on the players sleeves…  Slowly go past sponsors names on the walls………….oops sorry we have to run. This match is too good to miss a moment.

The only way to describe this U.S. open is soaking wet without raining... It's really hard to play tennis when your socks are soaking wet and you are "sloshing" in your shoes. Your shoes get really heavy when they get wet.
