I really do. I can’t help it. If they ran a DNA test on me I’d have little yellow tennis balls….. What a day. Missed the mighty Fed again. Hope to catch it on a replay on the Tennis Channel. Ate the chocolate Lindt tennis balls anyway. Really yummy. Yes I broke down and bought them, but I did catch something new to me. A closing ceremony. Wow. …Ok, I’ll back up. Yes, Roger beat the joker in three. The Davidoff tourney is really a first rate event, and as Rob said “the twins” were in the house. That event was so well attended. Big congrats to Roger Federer and his whole team for a magical week. You play tennis in a league of your own…
Ok back to the closing ceremony. Rob Koenig mentioned during his tv commentating that Basel also had an opening ceremony. Wow. Ok. We ate our Lindt choclate balls and watched a ten minute closing show. It was great. Lights were lowered. Ball kids and lines people marched out. Also, event VIPs, sponsors and workers of all levels of the event were on court. The best yet, Roger and Novak each shook the ball kids hands and put medals around their necks. Wow. RF was once one of those kids. Lucky kids. See more tennis players coming from that little country……Big congrats to the Davidoff tourney. Big congrats to Roger Brennwald. The tourney has been held for fourty years. You get the “bravo” … and the bryan brothers took the doubles title.
On to Valencia. Only results I know is my buddy Max and Mahesh lost to the Murray bros. What a beautiful hall the main court is…spectacular!
On to Fed Cup. 10sballs.com is an international site. So I will congratulate Italy. Congrats Italy, and the US team. Well you played your hearts out!! The captains picks were odd to me, but what do I know. Team USA be proud of all your great efforts and sacrifices…..
It’s been a wild week of really great tennis. A week of great tennis on the Tennis Channel, and we still have the Paris Masters and London.

FYI. 10sballs.com has been invaded! Nope not bed bugs…. The Brits. It started with the two best British journalists who just happen to be chicks. So I brought my puppies on board. Ha. They outsmarted “big boss” and now they have puppies too. That’s all great, but wait, it gets better. They also brought our ship a rudder. We now have a British editor. Needless to say my writing days are over….but besides that, how funny we all speak English. Although it’s so different. Ever been to a boot sale in the UK? It’s a parking lot where people are selling their collectibles or junk. Your call.
Let’s talk about Lovey’s Lobs. Basically the concept for this section was to put the odd “bits” or “odd bits”…..point is how do you have a global site and report on challengers in Calabasas. Ta da. Lovey’s Lobs. So if I don’t write, you know why.

Krajicek gave 100 percent. He didn’t win wimby as a fluke. Congrats to Gimelstob on the NYC marathon. Did Oprah finish ahead of you? Happy bday to Paul Hanley. Congrats to dy for dubs title. Misa Krajicek hopefully you’ll get back up there where you belong. Sorry Taylor. Happy retirement. Rafa we will miss you in Paris. Max and Mahesh, good luck. Every win dinners on me. The only way to describe this U.S. open is soaking wet without raining... It's really hard to play tennis when your socks are soaking wet and you are "sloshing" in your shoes. Your shoes get really heavy when they get wet.
