The 2016 U.S. Open gets underway on Monday, and Rafael Nadal will be among those in action. A two-time champion in New York, Nadal will kick off his campaign against an opponent he has owned in the past--Denis Istomin.
The U.S. Open cannot be won or lost at the draw ceremony, but Andy Murray had to be considered an early winner at Friday’s proceedings in New York.

Five different players or teams who were the top seeds in their respective events lifted U.S. Open trophies on Sunday. Novak Djokovic, of course, was the headliner.
World No. 1-ranked junior Taylor Fritz (17, Rancho Santa Fe, Calif.) captured the US Open boys' singles title on Sunday, defeating countryman and No. 5 seed Tommy Paul, 6-2, 6-7(4), 6-2, at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.
