Greetings from an exceptionally sunny Stuttgart, the next stop on Global Chick’s touring schedule this year! We are now on the dirt (albeit indoors, so thankfully that red stuff doesn’t blow onto our lovely garments)!

Big serving has ruled the U.S. Men's Hall of Fame Tennis Championships so far, with the exception of two-time runner-up Lleyton Hewitt making his way to quarterfinals. Also still alive are Ivo Karlovic (semifinals), Samuel Groth (semifinals) and a quarterfinal trio of John Isner, Jack Sock, and Steve Johnson.

Grigor Dimitrov won the tourney in Bucharest. He beat Lukas Rosol 7-6, 6-1 to make that 3 ATP titles he has notched. His ranking will move up tomorrow when the ATP weekly rankings are posted. He is currently ranked 16. Will this put him in the top ten ? Or just near it.
Petra Kvitova is having a very long week -- a delayed Fed Cup tie (although she didn't have to play Monday), now this. And she needs a final to earn any points!
