I decided to try to write an article on how important the tournaments are the next 3 weeks and really the next 6 weeks including the US Open, but I felt the best way to illustrate that was to show how important these events have been to the Big Four: Federer, Djokovic, Nadal and Murray.
On Tuesday, seeded players went 5-1 at the bet-at-home Open and were one point away from going 6-0. To say the tide turned on Wednesday would be an understatement.

The first time I saw Stevie Johnson play tennis, he was 12 years old, with a crew cut and a mullet. He was with other young players and their coaches who were part of a junior clinic. Just by chance, his mother was sitting next to me and we spoke about children, as mothers are wont to do.
The 2014 French Open concluded this Sunday, with Rafael Nadal lifting the trophy on Men’s side for the ninth time and Maria Sharapova taking her second French Open title on the Women’s side on Saturday respectfully.

Roger Federer booked his spot in the third round of the French Open with a 6-3, 6-4, 6-4 victory over Diego Sebastian Schwartzman on Wednesday afternoon. Federer held 14 of 15 service games to advance after one hour and 43 minutes of play.
