10sBalls is going on record to say a heartfelt WELCOME BACK MARIA. Yup. We did a survey. It was unanimous. We all have felt it was time to “move forward.”

It has nothing to do with ticket sales. Yes, Maria Sharapova sells tickets. It’s not her “shout” which is total baloney (to all of our global readers, saying “Baloney In America” means Not So right)

For years we’ve totally believed they turn up the microphones! She does not shriek any louder than any other women or man. They are exerting and grunting to exhale as they make contact with the ball…

Tennis is a funny sport. Most of the people reporting it have a limited perspective and understanding of the game.

Heck. These days the reporters don’t do basic homework walking into an interview room. They should at least know if the player sitting at the interview table won or lost. Basic concept, right? Three “oops” this year… Shameful. This is how all 3 incidents played out. First question a writer says something like” congrats.” Followed by the player looking at the reporter. …. We will call it a “are you joking me stare?”

My point. Tennis is a smoke and mirrors sport. The rules are weird. The governing bodies of suits? The hidden agendas. The games played off the court. Well. It equals the games on the court too.

O.K. I have a whole Wildcard theory. But that’s for Another time.

Maria works hard daily and is happy to return to the game she has loved and dedicated herself to her entire life. She has made so many sacrifices over the years as all the professional tennis players do.

Guess what folks. It’s not nearly as EASY as the pros make any part of it look. It’s not glamorous, it’s just not. It’s hard work. In gyms. In ice baths on treadmills and bicycles and more sprints and drills and being careful with every bite of food you eat and to be totally selfish focused and disciplined.

Maria is blessed with a great team. She has fabulous sponsors. She is a great person, and a great Champion who is really ready to be back where she belongs. We wish her well. And we hope everyone gives her a break.

We know We are not perfect. We made mistakes. Haven’t we all?
