With the loss of Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal to illness at this year’s Miami Open perhaps next year they should give out flu shots in the locker room before the tournament starts.

There is however a lot of great tennis left to play and the world’s #1 Novak Djokovic looks well and indestructible even by a virus. Djokovic will play #38 ranked Joao Sousa of Portugal today in what should be a routine win for Djokovic.

Tomas Berdych will play American Stevie Johnson in what should be a very good match. This match pits two very powerful men with big serves and forehands but the advantage goes to the Czech because of his superior backhand.

Rising Belgian star David Goffin, who is playing with a heavy heart because of the terrorist attack in his home country, plays #21 Victor Troicki. Goffin is playing very well and should win this match of players only 4 spots apart in the rankings.

Victoria Azarenka is picking up where she left off at Indian Wells and should dispose of Magda Linette. In an interesting match Madison Keys plays Roberta Vinci.Keys should overpower Vinci with her big serve and groundstrokes.

Did you know there is a Jacksockforpresident.com. “The leader you didn’t know you needed in the campaign you didn’t know existed..?” Very funny Jack but you need to win a few majors to be considered presidential.

Editors Note: Maybe Jack Sock looks like a better presidential candidate than the others running…. Choices are all ehh…. So why not Jack? Tennis has always been a great global sport and it’s players ambassadors for their countries. We can’t wait to see the tennis players that will be coming from Cuba! We know about their great baseball athletes and boxers. Show the world your tennis players! It may take a few years… they need to get some much needed tennis equipment. Basics like rackets, balls, nets will help greatly.
