SVEN GROENEVELD TENNIS CHANNEL ACADEMY SERIES STARTS OCTOBER 29TH! READ ABOUT IT HERE  |

Sven Groeneveld Tennis Channel Academy series starts the 29th of October. In these spots, Sven discusses his progression from literally playing tennis on the street, to top college tennis player, to coaching four Grand Slam winners. Sven also introduces how he brings his love of tennis and the desire to share the combined knowledge of some of the top pro coaches in the world led him to start FreezeFrame Tennis (www.fftennis.com)

We all know what the pros do well– lightning fast serves, powerful forehands, accurate punishing backhands. Add great court coverage to the mix and you’ve got Grand Slam winners. So what does four time Grand Slam winning coach Sven Groeneveld concentrate on in the Tennis Channel Academy? Everything the pros don’t always do so well– overheads, drop shots, swinging volleys. If the pros aren’t totally buttoned down on these facets of the game, you can be sure the rest of us would benefit from a focus on the same shots. Sven’s Tennis Academy spots are detailed step by step lessons on how to master each of these strokes.

In addition to filming these spot lessons for the Tennis Channel, Sven has also focused on personalized lessons for club players. He has recruited the best of the best, including Hall of Fame coach Nick Bollettieri, to provide video stroke analysis to amateur tennis players from around the world via the web. Nick and Sven, along with another top 20 touring coaches, have signed up to help club players struggling with a specific shot or issue. Amateur players just record their own stroke and submit the video to www.fftennis.com Then one of these coaches will show how these strokes can be improved through video instruction and side-by-side comparison with pro players. You can check out this process by looking at video analysis done by Nick and Sven on the site. You can also visit the site’s video library of video lessons covering 40 different topics (FreezeFrame Tennis- Tips from the Tour). Then, submit your own video and join the fun!
