Doubles on Us … and Junior and College and Wheelchair Tennis
The USTA is offering complimentary grounds admission to the US Open during the day session on Thursday, September 10. It’s been billed as “Doubles on Us,” in reference to the men’s and women’s doubles semifinals being played that day, but doubles is only a fraction of the competition fans can enjoy, free of charge, on Thursday around the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center’s grounds.
Thursday’s full slate of matches includes:
- Men’s and women’s doubles semifnals
- Boys’ and girls’ junior singles quarterfinals, likely to include top American juniors Taylor Fritz, Reilly Opelka, Tommy Paul, Michael Mmoh and Sofia Kenin
- American Collegiate Invitational men’s and women’s singles first rounds, including 2015 NCAA singles champion Ryan Shane and local stars Robin Anderson (Matawan, N.J.) and Julia Elbaba (Oyster Bay, N.Y.)
- Wheelchair men’s, women’s and quad singles matches
- Champions Invitational play, featuring legends of the game, such as John McEnroe, Michael Chang, Pat Cash, Martina Navratilova, Tracy Austin and Lindsay Davenport, among others
