Information and statement regarding Court One and grounds pass ticket-holders

10sBalls.com Editors Note : This is virtually unheard of in the United States. The British tennis “get it” give the fan their money’s worth! BRAVO!!! You guys aced it. It started for us at Nottingham. Free parking. Free people under 16 and 5 pounds to see the finals delayed and played on a Monday! Now this brilliance. Maybe if the powers that be were running the US open series, the United States would never have had tournaments die. The undertakers killed 2 tourneys, one was almost 100 / Los Angeles. And Indianapolis died too. LOTS DID. TOO MANY. ( undertakers are bad tourney directors and their bad teams of helpers )

The icing on the cake here. A WHEELCHAIR EXHIBITION. TALK ABOUT GETTING IT RIGHT. BRAVO AND CHEERS.

The Aegon Championships is giving ticket-holders on Court One a 50% refund today (Thursday 18th June) and will review its pricing structure for Court One and grounds passes in 2016.

Tournament Director, Stephen Farrow, said:

“With the upgrade of the tournament to ATP 500 status, and the reduction in draw-size from 56 to 32 this year, the value of Centre Court tickets has been enhanced, with 9 of the world’s Top 15 playing and no first round byes. However, it has also meant that there are fewer matches on the schedule in total, and with the number of singles players still in the doubles tournament, there are going to be delays to play on Court One today. We appreciate the frustration that this will cause our Court One ticket-holders and will refund 50% of the value of their tickets today (Thursday 18th June). We will use the experience we have gained this year to review our Court One and Grounds Pass pricing structure for 2016.”

A wheelchair exhibition doubles match between Gordon Reid/Marc McCarroll and Alfie Hewett/David Phillipson, which was originally scheduled for Court 9, will now move to Court One, which holds 1031 spectators.

Full information about the process for refunding Court One tickets will be available on www.aegonchampionships.com from Saturday.

BRAVO TO 10 BALLS EDITOR! Spot on ole girl! By Jove you’ve got it! That Country must not have an abundance of shoe clerks! Tradition of courtesy, fairness and camaraderie still reign over greed, self-serving, and opportunistic self- indulgence! No wonder their Monarchy is still alive and well! Progress can still be made without destroying the decency of human nature!

Jolly good for Tennis !
