The Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) is proud to announce today, on the one-year anniversary of the passing of a shining light from British Tennis, that the inaugural winner of the 2015 Aegon Open Nottingham WTA event will be presented with the newly commissioned ‘The Elena Baltacha Trophy.’
Tennis is rich with rivalries; McEnroe and Borg, Evert and Navratilova, Sampras and Agassi, Federer and Nadal. However the battle for one-upmanship between the two June-staged grass court tournaments at Queen’s Club, London and Halle in Germany has been intense for the last 22 years.
Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer could face each other in the semifinals of the Mutua Madrid Open, but Nadal--and Federer, for that matter--will not be looking that far ahead.

Fans at the inaugural TEB BNP Paribas Istanbul Open could not have any complaints about year one of the tournament and they will undoubtedly be clamoring for more of the same in 2015.
