TENNIS CHANNEL DOESN'T LOVE TENNIS DOUBLES! THE TENNIS CHANNEL BLEW OFF THE MONTE CARLO DOUBLES FINALS FOR SQUASH! SQUASH. SQUASH?  |

The most dynamic duo in the history of men’s doubles were playing the great Italian duo of Fabio Fognini and Simone Bolelli. The Tennis Channel promised us Bob and Mike Bryan also known as the Bryan Brothers or Bryan Bros, but that didn’t happen after social media was bursting with the promised match.

Instead They replayed Serena’s Fed Cup match, for what one irate reader told us, was a third time go around for that match today. … They blew off the men’s dubs and then insulted all their viewers with squash. Squash. SQUASH ? As a feature. Was I on the right channel ?

It’s the Tennis Channel. Not the racket sports channel. We’ve never seen its 24 hours of tennis. Yes, we stopped staying up all night. For 10 plus years they blabbed that. We are the only 24 hour Tennis Channel… Sure… with 8 hours or more of infomercials. Now this indignity.

Oh were our followers outraged. Outraged ! How often are we thrown a bone of doubles ? That’s why am I’m writing this. Yet, some of us here were outraged too. Staffers planned their days around the hopes of seeing a great doubles match with the winningest team ever. Whose golden bagel was that ? Bad call. Really bad call.

Since I’m on a tear, I might as well bring up that unless we are doing it wrong the “Tennis Channel Everywhere “only works if you have a cable service provider. Are we doing it wrong ?

Well I’m still mad. So I might as well bring up that we rarely/barely see college tennis. College tennis. There we said it twice. Every once in awhile we get a peak at a junior event. I remember the Easterbowl getting a show that was 30-60 minutes.

Ok, I’m still processing this …. The dubs at the men’s year ends ATP Barclays Championship was the HIGHLIGHT most of the week. The singles matches were one sided / boring and ending in an hour. The doubles was just awesome. Great warriors having great battles. Great exchanges of volleys and more.

Congrats to @bryanbros & @mikecbryan on their 5th Monte Carlo crown and 106th team title! #ATP #doubles #Bryans #tennis – photo by @atpworldtour

THE BOTTOM LINE :

Tennis needs doubles. Tennis is blessed to have a set of twins like the Bryan Brother’s . They are great global ambassadors for the sport. No one on tour gives up more hours to promote the sport. We applaud the dubs guys. They are the heart, soul and spirit of the sport. Look at all the world playing together as partners. That is truly AMAZEBALLS. It makes you believe our global sport can help to bring the World peace …
