NOVAK DJOKOVIC MAKES GUEST APPEARANCE AT PLAYER REVUE  |

World No. 1 Novak Djokovic put in a guest appearance as stars of the ATP World Tour gathered for the annual Player Revue at the Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel on Wednesday night.

Organised by Cecilia Ghe from the ATP and Anna Galoppo, with the assistance of David Ekerot, a cast of players and coaches performed a series of sketches, poking good-humoured fun at their fellow competitors and showing off their singing and dancing talents.

Marin Cilic and coach, Goran Ivanisevic, were heavily involved in the production, with Cilic acting as compère for the evening alongside Cristina Cimino and Ivanisevic starring in two of the sketches.

It was one of Ivanisevic’s sketches where Djokovic stole the show. With Ivanisevic whipping the likes of Gilles Simon and Raven Klaasen into shape with some old school work outs, ATP trainer Hugo Gravil – played by Djokovic – was called to the stage to treat the subsequent injuries, before telling one of his famed jokes.

Kei Nishikori, Milos Raonic and Ernests Gulbiswere all subjects of good-natured fun impersonations, while Viktor Troicki’s coach,Jack Reader, and Ivan Dodig’s coach, Martin Stepanek, entertained the audience with a look back at Rafael Nadal’s ‘English Evolution’.

Making his debut at the Player Revue,Bernard Tomic took the opportunity to send up fellow Australian and good friend Nick Kyrgios, helped by some clever hair and make-up.

Stars of the show included Troicki, Simon,Sergiy Stakhovsky, Jean-Julien Rojer, Horia Tecau, Robert Farah, Klaasen, Tomic, Bruno Soares, Cilic and Ivanisevic. The evening was brought to a close with all the cast on stage and Tomic taking over the microphone as Taylor Swift’s ‘Shake It Off’ was played.
