BRIDGING THE COMMUNICATION GAP BETWEEN TENNIS PARENTS & COACHES

New eBook is Perfect Collaboration Between Tennis Coach and Parent

What happens when a long-time junior tennis coach and a long-time tennis parent interview each other? What can they learn from each other then share with the rest of the Junior Tennis World?

The result is a new eBook (available on Amazon.com at http://amzn.to/1Icywu9) entitled Tennis Coaches and Parents: Bridging the Communication Gap, co-authored by Lisa Stone and Bill Patton.

“Our goal in publishing our discussions is to help both parents and coaches do a better job in their respective roles. Right now, there is a mutual Blame Game going on in junior tennis, and Bill and I are hoping to change that,” says tennis parent Stone. “Bill is one of those rare coaches who understand the need to engage parents in the process. He is committed to being collaborative as opposed to combative and is taking his message to social media as am I. It’s all about baby steps, right?”

Both Stone and Patton are committed to facilitating conversations between junior tennis parents and the coaches who work with their kids. They have each produced several podcasts on this topic, even appearing on each other’s radio shows multiple times. Though Stone is based in the Atlanta area and Patton is located in Northern California, they have found a way to work together through various organizations and groups and have learned from each other along the way. This eBook is their first project of its kind and has already reached #1 on Amazon’s Best Seller List in the Tennis Book category.
