WOZNIACKI HAVING FUN BEFORE WIMBLEDON , SPENT HER BREAK UP WITH THE SUPER TALENTED RORY MCILROY WITH SERENA WILLIAMS ON THE BEACHES OF MIAMI

A first-round loss at Roland Garros in the wake of her shock dumping by golfer fiance Rory McIlroy did not bother Caroline Wozniacki, who quickly headed off to Miami for partying with tennis friend Serena Williams earlier in the month.

The pair of former and current world No. 1 players were pictured on twitter at Miami Heat basketball playoff games, with each happy to document the good times. “Miami was a lot of fun,” Wozniacki said after winning her opening grass-court match of the season at Eastbourne. “Serena and I had a good time with some of our other friends. It was nice to get away a little bit and then come back and feel recharged.

“I just love spending time with my friends and my family and the people closest to me. To be able to perform 100 per cent, you have to have a clear mind and you have to want to get out there and practice.”

Wozniaki , who has not directly commented on the break-up with McIlroy beside a brief tweet several weeks ago, did make a veiled reference to her personal situation. “I felt like I needed it for a few days, and when I came back home I was ready. Right now I’m physically in good shape and I feel like I’m moving around the court well. I feel like I have the power behind the shots that I want.

“I would like to stay like this and hopefully the injuries will stay away. As they say, when it rains, it pours. So hopefully the pouring has stopped now.”
