ASICS EASTER BOWL SHOW TO PREMIERE ON

TENNIS CHANNEL SUNDAY AFTER ITALIAN OPEN FINAL

The annual ASICS Easter Bowl national TV show will premiere this Sunday with multiple airings on Tennis Channel, according to tournament Chairman Lornie Kuhle.

The show will air Sunday, May, 18, at 1 p.m. ET / 10 a.m. PT, immediately following the finals of the Italian Open. Another airing will take place later in the day at 10 p.m. PT.

Once again this year the show was edited and produced by award-winning Harold Hecht. The show is hosted by former ATP World Tour star Taylor Dent and USTA First Vice President Katrina Adams.

“We have another great show this year that we have produced and some surprises in there, as well,” said Kuhle, who served as the executive director on the show. “We are asking everyone to watch until the credits of the show for a nice tribute to longtime ASICS Easter Bowl friend and supporter Jackie Cooper.”

Kuhle’s good friend Cooper passed away last year, and Kuhle decided to honor Cooper and former women’s great Tory Fretz by naming a daily Sportsmanship Award after the two.

Fretz of the Coachella Valley was on hand the entire week during last month’s ASICS Easter Bowl handing out each of the awards.

Sponsors include: ASICS, Laurel Springs School, Indian Wells Tennis Garden, the Taylor Dent Junior Academy, Tennis Warehouse, TennisPlayer.net Digital Magazine, the tennis website 10sBalls.com, USTA, The Old Spaghetti Factory, SCTA and Mind Matters.
