2014 DÜSSELDORF OPEN

Top tennis to continue at the Rochusclub Düsseldorf

Attractive line up with seven German players

Düsseldorf (pps) Good news for all tennis fans as seven German players have already confirmed that they will be appearing at the Rochusclub: Michael Berrer (world ranked No. 124), Julian Reister (No. 115), Dustin Brown (No. 100), Tobias Kamke (96), Daniel Brands (No. 94), Benjamin Becker (No. 68), and Philipp Kohlschreiber (No. 24). “Düsseldorf will be black-red-gold!” Tournament Director Dietloff von Arnim explained. “We are very happy to present German top tennis players together with the international stars on the circuit. It’s what our fans want to see.”

Licence holder Rainer Schüttler is looking forward to the appearance of Dustin Brown: “With his dreadlocks and his rather unusual way of playing tennis he is somewhat flamboyant character. He’s an interesting player and will surely spice up our tournament.” Brown, who reached the last 32 at a Grand Slam tournament for the first time of his career in Wimbledon last year, is a great internet success: under his name @DreddyTennis Brown has almost 23,000 followers on Twitter who get all the latest news on the 29-year old with roots in Jamaica.

Davis Cup player Philipp Kohlschreiber will be celebrating a special anniversary this year – he will be playing for the 10th time at the Grafenberger Wald venue. “The Rochusclub offers the best possible conditions and there’s always a great atmosphere. It’s reason enough to keep coming back to Düsseldorf,” explained the 30-year old who reached three ATP Tour finals last year.
