The letter below is from Ryan Wolfington.

Dear friends and family,

Ten years ago Marty Hennessy and I started a youth foundation. Thanks to the help from entertainment legend Tony Bennett, tennis icon Mike Agassi, and countless supporters the foundation has helped hundreds of children. Being a volunteer for this organization has brought tremendous meaning to my life.

I know the foundation works because 70 children have used the program to get academic and athletic scholarshipoffers to Harvard, Georgetown, University of Penn, Wharton School of Business, Notre Dame, Vanderbilt, Villanova, UNLV, BYU and many others. More importantly I have seen it change the lives of children and those around them, completely.

Here is a video, created by foundation youth, that highlights some of those changes: Click to watch video

Here is the foundations new web site, made by the alumni: www.InspiringChildren.net

This year Tony Bennett has agreed to be the foundation’s honorary chair of their fundraising event and efforts. Thanks to event Co-Chairs Nicole and Neal Tomlinson the foundation has a very special Great Gatsby Gala as well as a Physicians’ & Barristers’ Ball Charity Tennis Tournament. As a comittee member I am reaching out to see if you have any ideas on how you could help the event and campaign, or if you have time to be on the committee also?

Committee members are asked to do as little as get one auction item or one person to join the $1 a day campaign and attend the Gala. For those unable to be on the committee here is a list of “Ten ways to help.”

10 WAYS TO HELP

1. Play The Physicians’ & Barristers’ Ball Charity Tennis Tournament for adults and juniors http://www.charitytennis.org/

2. Attend the “Gatsby @ Wimbledon” Gala @ Downtown Grand Hotel

18 & older – April 25th

3. Sponsor the Tournament & Gala

4. Donate an item for our silent – live auction or our gift bags

5. Donate slightly used luxury items like hand bags, jewelry, anything that can go in our “Luxury-used auction.”

6. Help campaign to get 1000 people to donate $1 a day

7. Sponsor a child or foundation program

http://www.inspiringchildren.net/sponsor-a-program-or-child/

8. Donate a computer, van, or used car for the children & families in need, or any item that can be in our e-bay auction.

9. Share www.InspiringChildren.net , our event materials and videos with others

10. Join our honorary Chair Tony Bennett and serve on our committee

With over 1.8 million dollars raised in ten years the foundation has a return on investment of over six times that amount, twelve million dollars, in college scholarships. The leadership and character development is changing hundreds of lives and families, which is priceless, and effects generations to come.

Through mentoring the foundation inspires children to be hard working, honest, kind, and most of all, to do the right thing.

This years fundraising event includes 3 aspects:

* 1. Gatsby @ Wimbledon Gala on the roof of The Downtown Grand Hotel April 25th with special entertainment including MTV Band of the year MOSAIC and YouTube sensation Tiffany Alvord.

* 2. The “Physicians’ & Barristers’ Ball” Charity Tennis Tournament for adults and juniors held April 28th to May 4th, 2014.

* 3. The “Donate a dollar to create a scholar” campaign.

The foundations goal is to get 1000 people to donate a dollar a day, $30 a month. 500 for this years fundraiser and 500 by next years fundraiser. To donate a dollar to create a scholar go to www.inspiringchildren.net/1-day-campaign/

Below is a copy of the event committee list and sponsors to date. We would love to add you to the list if you can be involved in any way.

Sincerely,

Ryan Wolfington
