South American is starting to get a lot of attention from Rafael Nadal, with the Spaniard due to make two tennis trips to the one-time tennis wilderness in the coming months. With Roger Federer blazing the trail with his exhibition tour of last December which is believed to have earned $14 million, US Open champion Nadal is set to try and place his mark on the continent.

Nadal will play an exhibition on November 23 with Argentine David Nalbandian in Buenos Aires as the 31-year-old nears what appears to be the end of his career after lasting having compete on the ATP in March. Nadal last played the Argentine capital seven years ago at an ATP event in the city.

In addition, Nadal has also joined the field in Brazil next year for the inaugural Rio Open, a new event designed to help showcase tennis in the run-up to the 2016 Olympics. Also in the field” fellow Spaniard David Ferrer. The February 15-23 clay joint ATP-WTA tournament will be part of a busy month for Nadal, who is also due to play in Spain’s Davis Cup first round following the Australian Open.
