Nadal has not played since June 2012, when he was eliminated in Wimbledon's 2nd round by Czech Lukas Rosol. He was supposed to come back after a successful knee injury rehab. EPA/ALI HAIDER  |

Rafael Nadal is having a great tourney. We realize that Rafa is in a dream position from Wimbledon on. Why you ask ? Because of the time off in 2012 he has no points to have to defend until the end of the year. What that basically means is he just keeps adding points and climbing in rankings.

Bethanie Mattek – Sands having a great tourney. She has worked so hard to come back on the singles radar . She was gifted a few wild cards that helped a bit. But it was blood ,sweat, tears, and ice baths that got her back. Special thanks to BNP tourney director Steve Simon gave her a chance in Indian Wells. Truly a nice gesture on the BNP Paribas part.
