Tennis is Sven's Passion - Day 4 at Roland Garros. |
Anybody who is not passionate about tennis would not be able to survive 15 years of life on tour or 8 years of working with the adidas player development program.
My days are long and very packed always like managing the pieces to complete the perfect puzzle for each and every player we support.
The stress that is added due to the large amount of people not only on the outside(the grounds) but also on the inside (player lounge) make is even harder to balance the schedule!
People from all over the world come to the grand slams of tennis and in general spending an average of 3 weeks per slam over the past 23 years means a year having spend at each one of the slams!
Therefor the Sunday start at the French Open adds another day to agenda and today it was jam packed
Therefor as I mentioned before we have to also go to other courts on the outside of the Grounds! Anybody that gets a chance they should walk across the street and go to a club named “Annex” where 4 perfect clay courts are tucked away and where the big names get away from the grounds. My day started there at 8 am!
With the warmups and the practice sessions there was little time to sit down. So lunch was on the run and the main focus was on getting the job done!
Unfortunately Ayumi Morita lost but 2 big wins in our team came from Monica Puig And Sorana Cirstea.
It is 22:30 and I am calling it a night here some more pics of my day at the tennis
Hi everyone. Here's Sven. Sven here. He sent us these photos. He is obviously a very busy man. He has everyone stopping him every few steps to ask him something...
To be honest I never ever attended a full weekend of Davis Cup. So that is why I needed to take my parents as they also never experienced this phenomenon.
First Day at the Davis Cup between Spain and Germany in Valencia. Traveling is part of my life for the Past 37 years and the past weeks have not been different.
It was the end of an era at Crandon Park for the Miami Open last year. From the Lipton, to the Nasdaq 100, to the Sony Ericsson, to the Sony, to the Miami Open presented by Itau, Key Biscayne saw it all.
Roger Federer of Switzerland in action during his men's singles final match against Marin Cilic of Croatia at the Australian Open Grand Slam tennis tournament in Melbourne, Australia, 28 January 2018.
Are lefties more successful than right-handed players? Which player admits to smashing 70 rackets a year during his career? All these questions, and so many more, are answered in entertaining infographics in the new book YOU CANNOT BE SERIOUS!
The ATP announced a group of potential host sites for the Nitto ATP Finals starting in 2021, and it includes London, Manchester, Singapore, Tokyo, and Turin.
