Roger Federer’s back ! He is seeded second and His first match in the Mutua Madrid Open is Radek Stepanek who beat Bernie Tomic in the first round. ( Scores of 6-3,6-2 ) . Social media is saying that Bernie’s dad was arrested for head butting a member of their team in a heated altercation. Tennis definitely has the whole parental guidance thing getting in the way ? This is a complex relationship , as so many of them are.
We know Roger Federer’s chances of Slams get fewer as he gets older. Okay. He wasn’t going to ever be number one again. Well he did that. Or win another Slam . He did that too. Novak would be meeting Andy Murray in the semis of the top half of the draw. This is a super strong field. All ATP 1000 are tough draws. This one is exceptional . Why ? Maybe because the depth in men’s tennis is the toughest ever. Professional men tennis players are the fittest athletes on the planet. All of them.
