Sven's Postcard - Miami Sony Open Day 1   |

Just past midnight in Miami and my day 13 in Indian wells runs into day 1 in Miami!

As soon a the final was over we were packing our bags and got on our way to LAX! The plane was full of tennis players, managers, ATP personnel and tennis fans!

We took off with a little delay around midnight and landed at 7 am in Miami! From gate to baggage claim to rental car to tennis courts!

We did not travel light but being on the road for over a month you want some variety in your clothing!

Credential was prepared and  with a special combo of coach of Wozniacki and Morita writing maybe they could have added a few more names…

The Sony open is whole different event and it is a big adjustment with time change of 3 hours (may not seem a lot but many players find it had to go to sleep and wake up on time) the weather (temperature  cooler but more humid ) courts are on sea level and we have some wind to adjust too! The courts are faster and the site is smaller (so a lot more off site practices that take place at a Key Colleney on faster courts with a different top layer and Colour)

After picking up my credential I went straight to Key Colleney to watch the practices of Monica Puig and Christian Mchale to be followed by Ayumi Morita and after with Sorana Cirstea! Sorana wanted to take a picture of our Color coordinated  outfits

After the practise I headed back to the site to watch some matches but after catching up with many people who did not make the trip to Indian Wells it started raining! I waited until 7:30 pm before heading back to the hotel because play was not getting back on court until later!

The main draw was made on this day and some 1 st round women’s matches will be played tomorrow ( Ayumi will be 1st on at 12  and Andrea Petkovic 4th match against jovanovski (adidas versus adidas)

Plus I will have several practise session of which 2 are planned with Caroline!

I want to Finnish the first day with a brief message we receive everyday( when we Valet our car at the site! ) are we getting spoiled, yes we are )

I am looking forward to update you on a daily basis!

Sven
