LLEYTON HEWITT (AUS) takes on JUAN MARTIN DEL POTRO (ARG) in the final of the 2013 AAMI Classic at Kooyong tomorrow, after impressive wins over MILOS RAONIC (CAN) and TOMAS BERDYCH (CZE) this week.

Del Potro sealed his spot first up today with a convincing straight sets 6/4 6/1 win over crowd favourite MARCOS BAGHDATIS (CYP). Post-match, Del Potro said of Hewitt: “He’s very professional when he comes to play a tournament. That means he’s ready to win a tournament.” Del Potro continued singing the praises of his AAMI Classic final opponent, saying: “many other players can do different things, but Lleyton is a very good player to watch.”

Day 3 also featured rising Canadian star MILOS RAONIC who was on the wrong side of a 6-4 6-4 loss to FABIO FOGNINI (ITA). The final match saw the return of Japanese golden boy KEI NISHIKORI, who posted a confidence boosting three sets win over PAUL-HENRI MATHIEU (FRA) 6/-, 4/6, 6/3.

The final day of the 2013 AAMI Classic promises to be a gripping test for Australia’s favourite tennis son. The boutique tournament continues to offer a tennis experience that is truly “Up Close and Classic!”
