Playful Danish dynamo Caroline Wozniacki augmented her own physical charms with a few well-stuffed towels as she did a fun-loving tennis impression of friend and rival Serena Williams as “racism” hysteria over the stunt erupted – where else but in the US.
Some in the ground zero for political correctness were quick to jump on the blonde Woz’s impression of the powerful and buxom Williams, with critics charging that the impression was somehow demeaning to blacks.
It was not the first on-court impression of Williams which has required the use of towels. Novak Djokovic did one of his own recently without raising a fuss. And Williams only this week tweeted that she might find it tough to buy a miniscule Brazilian string bikini during a trip to South America given her voluptuous figure.
Wozniacki broke out her impression of Williams during an exhibition in Sao Paulo on the Roger Federer Gillette tour after playing Maria Sharapova. While critics screamed, others pointed out that Wozniacki was the first to visit Williams in hospital in early 2011 after her health scare with a blood clot. The pair of rivals have long considered themselves friends.
Williams has always been proud of her trademark booty, tweeting ‘Do they make Brazilian bikinis for, um, well, me?’. Last summer, the 31-year-old tweeted a photo of her bottom, saying: ‘Hummm I think this onzie makes me butt look TOO big. Ugh. #BigButtproblems.’
