After another great week attendance-wise at the London’s O2 arena for the ATP World Finals, executives were enthusiastic when talking about the health of men’s tennis. ATP CEO Brad Drewett told CNN that commercial revenues have increased 165 % since 2009. During the tournament, the global technology company Ricoh signed on for another three years, while tournament title sponsor Barclays extended its deal through 2015 after London confirmed as the tournament site.

“The ATP and its 62 tournaments are now generating more than half a billion dollars annually,” said Drewett. “We are in our strongest financial position ever and we have the biggest and best group of corporate partners ever involved in the game.”

Attendance on the ATP Tour is said to have remained steady at 4.4 million since 2009, excluding the Grand Slams and Davis Cup. TV audiences have also increased, with 800 million viewers and an additional 4 million visitors go to the official ATP Tour website each month.

In 2014, players who reach the ATP Finals will get an overall prize money boost from $5.5 million to $6.5 million.
