Benoit Paire advanced to his first ATP World Tour final Saturday in Belgrade, knocking out top seed Pablo Andujar 6-3, 1-6, 6-3 in the Serbia Open 2012 semi-finals.
The Frenchman won 79 per cent of his first serve points, and converted the lone break of serve in the third set to claim victory in one hour and 54 minutes.
Paire has defeated three seeded players en route to the final, and is bidding to become the first player this season to win his first career trophy. He awaits the winner of second seed Andreas Seppi and No. 4 seed David Nalbandian.
