18 of the world’s top players will be coming to the Paris Country Club from 23 – 25 May 2012 for the fourth Masters Guinot Mary Cohr. The tournament, which was first held in 2009, combines exhibition tennis with pre-Grand Slam preparation and genuine competition and has become an important date on the calendar for the big names of the ATP circuit looking to hone their clay-court skills just a few short days before the French Open gets under way.

This year, the world No.4 and No.5 have signed up to play, meaning that fans will be able to see Andy Murray and French no.1 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, with the latter heading a strong French delegation made up entirely of Davis Cup stalwarts, namely Gaël Monfils, Michael Llodra and Julien Benneteau.

The Masters Guinot Mary Cohr is played on clay, which means that there will be plenty of “specialists” ready to showcase their skills. Former world No.3 David Nalbandian and Stanisals Wawrinka have signed up to play, along with Ernests Gulbis, the crowd-pleasing Latvian who has 31 wins to his name on red dirt, including one over Roger Federer at the ATP Masters 1000 in Rome in 2010.

Alexandr Dolgopolov, Marcos Baghdatis and Stanislas Wawrinka will also be taking part, with another eight top players soon to be confirmed. The MASTERS GUINOT MARY COHR provides the biggest names in tennis with one last dress rehearsal before Roland Garros, with the same court conditions and the same balls being used. There will be three matches on each of the three days of the tournament, starting at 12 noon and played in the bucolic surroundings of the Paris Country Club in Rueil-Malmaison.
