LONDON – Tickets to the 2012 Barclays ATP World Tour Finals are now on general public sale, the ATP announced Tuesday. From today, fans across the world can secure their place for the prestigious season-ending tournament held at The O2 in London from 5-12 November, featuring the world’s top eight singles players and doubles teams, by purchasing tickets at www.BarclaysATPWorldTourFinals.com.

With all eight qualification spots up for grabs in singles and doubles, everything is still to play for in the 2012 season as players battle for South African Airways ATP Rankings points to qualify for the world’s biggest indoor tennis tournament. Following strong starts to the year, the world’s Top 4 players – Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer and Andy Murray – are once again primed to compete for the last title of the season at The O2, with the 2012 year-end World No.1 ranking potentially going down to the wire in London.

Brad Drewett, ATP Executive Chairman and President, said: “We’ve had a captivating start to the 2012 ATP World Tour season, with the world’s best players continuing to excel on the biggest stages. Since 2009, the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals at The O2 in London have provided a magnificent culmination to the season. We’d like to thank the fans who have come to watch and support the tournament over the past three years, and we look forward to another fantastic event in 2012.”

Featuring a unique round robin format, and with only the world’s elite players competing, the season-ending tournament guarantees more top eight match-ups than any other event throughout the season. Total prize money for this year’s tournament will increase to $5.5million, a 10% increase on 2011.

More than 250,000 fans have attended the tournament in each of the past three years, establishing the tournament as a must-see event on the international sporting calendar. This year’s event remains accessible to all fans, with the lowest entry ticket remaining at £20, and all tickets for children 16 and under at half price.

The prestigious tournament has been contested in major cities around the world with a rich history dating back to the birth of The Masters in 1970 in Tokyo. Since 2000 the event has taken place in cities such as Lisbon, Sydney and Shanghai. In 2009 the tournament moved to London, where it will be played through 2013.
