BNP Paribas 2012: Sunday Schedule Preview!   |

Tennis fans are in for a huge day of tennis at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden today. Top ATP and WTA stars are all in action today as tennis will begin at 11am pst and continue late into the night on all stadium and show courts. Today we get our first glimpse of Roger Federer at the 2012 BNP Paribas Open as he plays wildcard Denis Kudla as the first match of the evening session. Federer is coming off two ATP world tour title victories (Rotterdam & Dubai) and has been drawing the largest crowds all week at the practice courts. Everyone is dying to see the Fed-Express win another title in the desert.

To start the day off on Stadium 1, Juan Martin del Potro plays Del Ray finalist, Marinko Matosevic – It’ll be a hard hitting duel and certainly a good match to wake up to! Immediately following that match is the world #2, Rafael NAdal taking on Leonardo Mayer – It’s Rafa’s first singles match since the epic Australian Open final (L. Djokovic).

Other exciting ATP matches scheduled for the morning/afternoon sessions are: Xavier Malisse vs Radek Stepanek, Gael Monfils vs Nikolay Davydenko, Tommy Haas vs Marcel Granollers, Feliciano Lopez vs Marcos Baghdatis, Janko Tipsarevic vs Gilles Muller, David Ferrer vs Grigor Dimitrov, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga vs Michael Llodra, and Fernando Verdasco vs Ryan Sweeting. Finally, try to catch Alexandr Dolgopolov as he takes on Steve Darcis during the night session, scheduled for court 7.

Most of the male pros are also playing doubles in this event, giving fans a complete overload of world class tennis for the day. Max Mirnyi and Daniel Nestor open their efforts against Nicolas Almagro and Mark Knowles. Despite Almagro’s #12 ranking in singles, he finds himself on the court with three very advanced and experienced doubles specialists. Andy Murray looks to put his singles loss last night to Guillermo Garcia-Lopez behind him as he teams with his brother Jamie. Americans John Isner and Sam Querrey link up and it will be a tall task to defeat them in the desert altitude.

Last but not least, WTA stars Victoria Azarenka, Na Li, Petra Kvitova, Flavia Pennetta, Vera Zvonareva, and Agnieszka Radwanska are also playing today! Come out to the Indian Wells Tennis Garden to enjoy this fantastic day of the 2012 BNP Paribas Open!
