Sven Blog - Indian Wells, Coaching and Parents   |

These last 4 weeks in the states consisted of 2 tournaments we have had a lot of court time with the players that are on our tea, between Darren Cahill Mats Merkel and myself we handle many players.

The main draw started on Wednesday and the top 16 seeds don’t play until Friday or Saturday (some even Sunday) the players plan 2 session a day and that means we are on court anywhere between 4 to 6 hours and on site for 12 hours each day.

My parents are very happy to be here and I am including them in my blog since they are part of my delay activities. Last night I dropped my parents at the players party where they were the guests of Ana Ivanovic and Sorana Cirstea. Unfortunately I could not attend the party because we had an Adidas team dinner meeting and enjoy a great meal at the La Quinta resort.

During my day I also caught up with a new rising star Jack Sock and saw him win the 1st set unfortunately he lost his 1st round but he did look great in his Adidas tennis gear.

The site at Indian Wells tennis garden is improving each year and it allows more and more fan activities and the improvements of this year are a big shaded area where fans can gather and share some food, entertainment and big screen TVs where they can watch their favorite match court in the comfort of the shaded area.

Today Friday the 9th was a tough day because we lost 2 of our players in the draw and yesterday we lost 1. We still are strong represented in total and our focus will be now on Andy Murray Jo W Tsonga and Caroline Wozniacki. The other players will get a chance to spend some quality time on the practice courts.

Tomorrow Morning at 7:30 will be our first training session with Ayumi Morita. We will be preparing for Miami over the next days while she stays in Indian wells.

Looking forward to the remainder of the tournament.
