Given that he won’t earn any points here, no doubt it’s good that Jo-Wilfried Tsonga is finishing his matches fairly quickly.

Ivan Ljubicic added points here, which has been a rare event lately, but he rises only to about #40.
Singles – Quarterfinal: (4) J del Potro def. (5) R Gasquet 7-5 7-6(7-5)
This was just about the only bad news for a French player here. It appears it will cause Richard Gasquet to fall from #15 to #16.
Singles – Quarterfinal: M Llodra def. A Olivetti (Q) 7-6(7-5) 7-5
Albano Olivetti had another 13 aces in this match — but Michael Llodra had 14 of his own, and showed Olivetti what an ATP-level return is like. That should take Llodra several spots above his current #50.
Doubles – Semifinal: Mahut/Roger-Vasselin def. J Delgado/Skupski 6-2 6-3
