Globally tennis on television sucks. Why?  Who knows… Carelessness for sure! Lack of   details… Details like… getting the word out where and when you can see the match…. Cause we are not there . No! They are supposed to put us there.  We are looking for the quiet coverage … I think the UK is good. The BBC one and two and sky Sports.

They…. The tv stations don’t announce when and where we might find our match. Yup. I missed watching Federer live in the year end finals. Why. Maybe because the tennis channel never said remember to switch to ESPN. Hmn. Not nice for our sport. I live in the United States. And we have the tennis channel. Well some of us have the Tennis Channel. It has basically taken tennis watching on tv away from the masses. If it was part of a basic cable package maybe I’d be happier. Maybe tennis could grow. …..

ESPN covered the Barclays year end. They shared with us the doubles award ceremony. Bravo max Mirnyi and Danny Nestor. But we never saw Roger except his award or hear his speech. What a bummer. Would the super bowl not let you hear from the champs?  The world series? The world cup?

Should we talk about the commentators? Yikes  not now. It’s too depressing. They never shut up. It’s as if they are in  a bar.. a pub…hanging with  their coach with friends and expounding on the dumbest stuff. …. I’m hearing intelligent tennis minds that have diarrhea of the mouth. They aren’t paid by the comment are they? The word?

So now we’ve heard from Boris Becker that tv in Germany stinks. Now we’ve heard from James Crabtree in Australia, He has his issues. Now you’ve heard from me. We have espn. We have CBS and the US Open. We had NBC and Wimbledon. And we have the tennis channel ( some of us )…

Thank you” Dr. Chiro “. Don Brosseau.  You’ve explained the tennis on the web to us. This time it’s a live feed streaming on Daviscup.com.

My last comment is. Give tennis to everyone’s basic cable package globally. What do you think? Give us your thoughts on commentators?
