Yup. Male. Female. They win. They win on the court. They win off the court. They win. So. Why so little crossover to mainstream? Why doesn’t the NY Post write about tennis? The US Open is over. But tennis is still being played. Hardly any mention of Istanbul. Nothing from Basel. It’s amazing how few sports editors give tennis space on the sports pages. No wonder there’s a zillion 10s websites …..
NY Post. You have tennis players that reside in New York City. You have John McEnroe. You have Andy Roddick and his beautiful and talented wife Brooklyn Decker. So why do you ignore tennis? All you sports editors. How can you not make space for our sport?
It’s in a GOLDEN AGE. Look at our talent pools. Mens. Ladies. The sport is healthy (players aren’t ). Tickets to events globally are overpriced. Slash them in half. Slash the tickets for kids. Juniors. Seniors. Active military.
We were happy to hear Istanbul lowered it’s prices and that it was subsidized by the government? I heard that…. It reminded Stacy of the glory days of Madison Square Garden ….
Note to WTA and Stacy. M.S.G. could factor in again. Just market your sport. You have dozens of goddesses. You have talent and depth and personalities. These are golden times.
