Is the game passing Federer by? Not at all. Not even for a second. He is the greatest player in tennis currently, he is just being outplayed by a couple younger guys at the top of the rankings.

Is his drive and passion still there? I think it still is, he just has more important things going on in his life, and we know that tennis isn’t his number one priority. He has a family to tend to, and I’m sure most tennis fans know this, they just find it entertaining to read all the articles about the great Federer and how he is loosing his way on the tennis courts.

However, is there a doubt in anyone’s mind that he will win another slam? I believe 100% that he will.  He’s the greatest player of all time and another Wimbledon championship wouldn’t hurt his career resume at all.

He is truly a great player and a great ambassador for tennis. It truly is a joy to watch him play. You just know that he loves what he is doing when he is out there.

  1. What I think is so oustanding about Federer is his health and ability to remain injury free.  I contend that is a choice on his part, i.e. he has a well-balanced game, and doesn’t beat the living crap out of every ball he hits.  He has a little more art, and in doing so, he manages to go a little easier on his body.  Frankly, i think he will be around for as many more years as he wants to.  Maybe not number one, but an easy top 3 with little trouble.

  2. Magic says:

Indeed he’s the greatest of all time…his art his game and his mental strength is a lesson for everyone and very inspiring…I hope by God’s grace he wins many more slams and gets to no.1 where he belongs :)

  3. Ducard12 says:

I agree. The way Nadal and Dokovic is pounding it out, they or one of them will sooner or later blow out a wheel. Fed is smart and an artist at the same time. Only Nastase had such natural talent, but his temperment got in the way of his achieving his best.
