Sport plays a wonderful role in the development of young people. Sport promotes a healthy, active lifestyle and develops personal characteristics vital to successful and fulfilling lives, including teamwork, discipline, respect, work ethic and mateship.

The Roger Rasheed Sporting Fund aims to enrich children’s lives through sport.. The Fund aims to ensure that children, regardless of background or circumstance, have the opportunity to enjoy all that sport has to offer.

The Roger Rasheed Sporting Fund will:

  • Give sporting opportunities, experiences and products to children who would not otherwise have access to them, to help in their development.
  • Use sport to help develop and inspire children.
  • Help children’s recovery from illness through sport.
  • Create an ongoing mentoring program to support and inspire children in need.

The Roger Rasheed Sporting Fund will:

  • Generate funds via fundraising activities and donations.
  • Engage key corporate partners, including sporting companies, to become our financial supporters.
  • Engage national and international sporting and media personalities as Ambassadors to deliver the goods / coaching / messages / mentoring / experiences.
  • Create a VIP Team, including business and community leaders (who may are also financial supporters of the Fund), to lead the ongoing mentoring program, engaging with children and their families.
  • Align with the Little Heroes Foundation to leverage activities for the benefit of both and, most importantly, for children.
