The Wayne Arthurs Cup
The Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club is looking forward to hosting the Wayne Arthurs Cup, which is a 10 and under team event to be held on the 11th and 12th of December.
This year’s event will kick off this Saturday at 9am and will continue on Sunday December 12th at 8.30am with the finals due to be played at around 1pm.
The Wayne Arthurs Cup is played between 16 mixed teams from metropolitan associations and country regions and forms part of Tennis Victoria’s Regional Teams Events calendar providing teams competition for players from the 10/U age group through to the 18/U Country Cup event.
This is one of several talent identification events being run by Tennis Victoria with the support of the Kooyong Foundation and we look forward to seeing some of the State’s best juniors competing at Kooyong.
“The support of the Kooyong Foundation is a fantastic initiative. It is designed to assist aspiring young tennis players in Victoria who need additional support in order to meet their tennis objectives,” said Craig Tiley, Director of Player Development at Tennis Australia.
