Day 4 from the 2010 NEC Wheelchair Tennis Masters in Amsterdam, Netherlands

Esther Vergeer from the Netherlands recorded her 400th successive singles win by defeating her compatriot Jiske Griffioen in the first of the women’s semifinals.

In tomorrow’s final she faces Australia’s Daniela di Toro, the last person to record a win against Vergeer all the way back in 2003.

In the men’s draw, Frenchman Stephane Houdet ensured his place in the final by defeating Shingo Kunieda and in the process ending the Japanese’s remarkable 107 consecutive singles winning run.

In the Quad final, Peter Norfolk retained his title with a straight sets victory over David Wagner.

The world’s top eight men, eight women and four quad players are taking part in the season-ending championship on the NEC Wheelchair Tennis Tour. The event runs until Sunday 21 November.
