Make a Difference Through Mentoring

One hour a week is all it takes to make a difference in a child’s life.  MWKF is looking for individuals to consistently devote one hour of quality time with their mentee each week focusing on academic enrichment.  Do you want to share your favorite childhood book with a small group of Kindergarten, 1st or 2nd grade students and lead them in a project to enhance their creativity? Then join us on a Friday this fall as a Book Club Reader!  Like older kids? Help MWKF middle school students receive a four year college scholarship by becoming a Take Stock in Children Mentor.  Take Stock mentors volunteer one hour each week at the students’ school or at MWKF and help the student navigate those challenging middle school years!  All mentors must attend an orientation training prior to starting as well as pass a background screening.  For more information on any of these opportunities, contact
Ashley@malwashington.com.
