The USTA today announced that Martin Blackman has been named General Manager, USTA Player Development. In this full-time position, Blackman will oversee the USTA’s Player development staff and partner with the U.S. tennis community to identify and develop the next generation of world-class American tennis players.
To mess around with one of Oscar Wilde’s quotes, for Andy Murray to lose one love set to Novak Djokovic may seem unfortunate but to lose two would seem like carelessness. But Murray is not careless. He is one of the least careless people you are likely to meet or watch play tennis.

Andy Roddick made a triumphant return to the land of his birth Wednesday, defeating his former U.S. Davis Cup teammate and good friend James Blake 6-1 in the one-set championship match at the Champions Cup Presented by Woods Park Tennis, the third of 12 events on the 2015 PowerShares Series tennis circuit.
