Rafael Nadal will return to London this November in an attempt to capture his first career season-ending Barclays ATP World Tour Finals title. Nadal joins three-time champion Novak Djokovic as the first two singles players to qualify for this year’s season finale, to be held at The O2 from 9-16 November.
The Western & Southern Open announced on Monday its 2014 player field. As a mandatory Masters 1000 event on the ATP World Tour, every one of the top 43 men in the rankings is signed up. The top 39 women are all on the entry list for what is a Premier 5 WTA tournament.
The first time I saw Austrailian’s Lleyton Hewitt was during the 2000 US Open semi-finals where he played the great Pete Sampras. It was the ultimate underdog versus the great champion match up. London tennis fans are thrilled that this years French Open Champion and current World No.1 Rafael Nadal has confirmed that he will play at the BNP Paribas Tennis Classic on Friday 20th June. In addition to this, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Marin Cilic will also join ATP stars Andy Murray, Kei Nishikori, Tommy Robredo, Tomas Berdych & Grigor Dimitrov to complete this years line up of the BNP Paribas Tennis Classic.
