Petra Kvitova is having a very long week -- a delayed Fed Cup tie (although she didn't have to play Monday), now this. And she needs a final to earn any points!

For those of you keeping tabs on the WTA tour, Belgian Kirsten Flipkens has been one of the hottest players during the Premier events in Indian Wells and Miami.
It looked for all the world as if Petra Kvitova would cruise into the semifinal.
Given that Petra Kvitova is in a three-way contest for the #6 ranking, a slow start was the last thing she needed, but it put her in the lead in the contest.

It's tempting to say that, as goes Petra Kvitova, so goes the Czech Republic in Fed Cup.
