The U.S. Open has not always been kind to Donald Young, but he has already delivered a few memorable moments at what almost any American considers his or her most important tournament.
For the rest of this fortnight, you are unlikely to find a comeback more improbably or more impressive than the one staged by Donald Young on Tuesday afternoon at the U.S. Open.
Nick Kyrgios' controversial comments in his night match against Stan Wawrinka (that's for a whole different story altogether) may steal all of Wednesday's headlines at the Rogers Cup, but they should not overshadow what was a surprising slate of second-round action.
Donald Young Jr. Also known as 'D.Y.' is celebrating at home in Atlanta as he prepares for next weeks ATP event being held there. D.Y. Is a super talented guy. Blessed with speed a foot and great touch and feel and anticipation he also has some serious lefty spins and other major weapons.
Janko Tipsarevic is back--again. Whereas Tipsarevic played only doubles at the Miami Open, the Serb is suiting up for singles this week at the U.S. Men's Clay Court Championship. His first match will come on Tuesday as part of an entertaining schedule that also includes an all-American showdown between Donald Young and Steve Johnson.
Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray headline the afternoon session on stadium court at the Miami Open on Friday. Nadal has an all-Spanish showdown with Nicolas Almagro on his hands, while Murray is going up against an in-form Donald Young.

7,700 degrees of warmth. That’s what we felt in the Emirates Arena as the teams walked out and as Andy Murray was introduced to the capacity crowd. This Global Chick does not mind admitting, as the roar went up, all Braveheart and everything, it fair brought a tear to her eye.
Let’s face it, when one touches down at the airport and sees snow covered mountains (the Scottish call them hills probably) it looks all lovely. Until you head out and wait for a cab! Here’s the Global Chick, in Glasgow for the Davis Cup World Group tie between Great Britain and the USA.

All four quarterfinal matches went the three-set distance on Friday at the Rio Open and the result was nearly the latest finish in ATP tournament history. Rafael Nadal and Pablo Cuevas did not even get on the court until after 1:00 a.m. because Fabio Fognini's 6-4, 6-7(10), 7-6(9) victory over Federico Delbonis lasted three hours and 12 minutes.
