FEDERER FLIES THROUGH ANOTHER LONDON MATCH, HEADING STRAIGHT TOWARD SEMIFINALS BY RICKY DIMON

Roger Federer may be the oldest participant at the World Tour Finals, but he sure is not looking like it. Or maybe he is, and age--plus experience--is an advantage. Kei Nishikori sure knows it's not a disadvantage after going down to Federer 6-3, 6-2 in just one hour and nine minutes on Tuesday afternoon.

GLOBAL CHICK CHECKS THE TENNIS ACTION / NEXT ROUND SET AS GROUP B PLAYS AGAIN IN LONDON

Now we have had the first rounds, it will be time to get the calculators out, take shoes and socks off to work out all the possible permutations as the two winners and the two losers of the first two matches (still with me?) get to grips in round two.

RICKY’S PICKS FOR DAY 3 OF THE WORLD TOUR FINALS: FEDERER VS. NISHIKORI, MURRAY VS. RAONIC

Roger Federer and Kei Nishikori are in good shape after winning their first matches at the World Tour Finals and one will have either officially clinched or almost clinched a semifinal spot after they face each other on Tuesday. Andy Murray and Milos Raonic, on the other hand, are in dire need of a victory following opening losses.

ANDY MURRAY GIVES HIS BEST EFFORT EVERY TIME HE STEPS ON COURT ! / 10SBALLS.COM REPORTING FROM BARCLAYS TENNIS FINALS

Andy Murray is misunderstood. He really is. The guy always gives his all. Usually he wears his heart on his sleeve but yesterday in London @theO2 arena it was a "POPPY" on his sleeve . Why a POPPY ? No he isn't being sponsored by a Colombian cartel. It's because the British people honor the ones who have fallen in war.

BARCLAYS CHAMPIONSHIPS MEN’S TENNIS FINALS START SUNDAY ! WE ARE IN LONDON !

Greetings from London. It's cold , it's damp , rain is expected , welcome to London. But when you are @ the ATP championships who cares ? Big Ben is our alarm clock ! The London EYE is in our view and the town is tennis crazy. Sounds like I'm in the right place. From the moment the car came to collect us ( thank you Richard Branson ) the magic carpet ride began.

Guaranteed to be in opposite groups at the World Tour Finals as the No. 3 and No. 4 seeds, Stan Wawrinka and Kei Nishikori both experienced Grand Slam breakthroughs in 2014. Wawrinka went all the way to the Australian Open title, while Nishikori reached the U.S. Open final. Whereas the Swiss started the season on fire, it is Japan's top player who is surging down the stretch.

WORLD TOUR FINALS GROUPS ANNOUNCED: FEDERER IN TOUGH ONE WITH MURRAY BY RICKY DIMON

The World Tour Finals draw ceremony was held on Monday afternoon. With only eight players in the field, it did not take long for everything to be figured out. Novak Djokovic was already guaranteed to be in Group A as the No. 1 player in the world and No. 1 seed, while Roger Federer was assured of being in Group B at No. 2. That left only six men to be drawn.

NOVAK DJOKOVIC WINS THE PARIS INDOORS IN BERCY BY RICHARD EVANS

Apart from a strange, brief and eventually irrelevant period midway through the first set when his opponent won eight consecutive points, Novak Djokovic was rarely troubled as he retained his BNP Paribas Masters title here at Bercy with a 6-2, 6-3 victory over Milos Raonic.

Andy Murray's recent results show that he is getting back toward the game's elite, but perhaps he's still just "getting," not "gotten." This means he won't be returning to #4 this week -- he'll be no better than #6. Novak Djokovic will stay at #1; indeed, in light of the next result, his chances of being the year-end #1 are getting a lot better.

Milos Raonic, clinging on to the possibility of making the top eight for the ATP Finals in London, finally worked out a way to beat Roger Federer in the quarter-finals of the BNP Paribas Masters here, winning a tight struggle 7-6, 7-5.

Novak Djokovic hasn't clinched the #1 ranking yet, but he's doing his best. Gael Monfils will probably end the year at #19 -- although there is just a chance that he could improve that in the Davis Cup final.

ANDY MURRAY BEATS GRIGOR DIMITROV IN PARIS AND GETS HIS BERTH FOR THE LONDON @BARCLAYS YEAR END CHAMPIONSHIPS HELD AT THE 02 ARENA. BY RICHARD EVANS.

A little clarity emerged from the rubble of the Omnipalais here at Bercy as Andy Murray confirmed his place in the ATP Finals in London by eliminating one of the contenders, Grigor Dimitrov 6-3, 6-3. It has been hard to find one’s way around this stadium this week as the whole place is under construction and work has only stopped for ten days...
