Andy Murray needs one more win to join the exclusive club of players to have registered 500 wins on the ATP World Tour and he has set his sights on the round of 16 match at the Miami Open against the Florida-based South African Kevin Anderson.

The Davis Cup may be a team competition but it is never short on individual heroics. The first round of 2015 World Group action was certainly no exception. Four players won a pair of live singles rubbers in their respective ties--three of the four en route to team victories.
World No. 5 Andy Murray clinched Great Britain’s second consecutive Davis Cup World Group Quarterfinal appearance on Sunday, beating world No. 20 John Isner, 7-6(4), 6-3, 7-6(4), at Emirates Arena in Glasgow.
And so it was thus, that as the rain clouds gathered once more (imagine four seasons in one day, with attitude), Andy Murray sealed the deal for the British team as they won the right to face the French in the quarter-finals a mere week after the last strawberries and Pimms have been chased down in Wimbledon.

7,700 degrees of warmth. That’s what we felt in the Emirates Arena as the teams walked out and as Andy Murray was introduced to the capacity crowd. This Global Chick does not mind admitting, as the roar went up, all Braveheart and everything, it fair brought a tear to her eye.
