The only call by chair umpire Carlos Ramos that was remotely questionable was the first coaching violation. Serena’s coach afterward admitted on air that he was coaching, so you cannot really fault Ramos.

Roger played his first pro matches in 1997 (5 total) and in 1998 full-time playing ATP events. Since then Roger has played in over 1,400 matches and in the 1,424 matches he finished every single match he ever started.

In a major final that was a tale of two comebacks, Novak Djokovic defeated Juan Martin Del Potro 6-3, 7-6(4), 6-3 on Sunday at the U.S. Open.
